Eastern Wheatbelt – Dean Bavich
Areas covered include: Merredin, Narembeen, Bruce Rock, Kellerberrin, Yilgarn (Southern Cross), Westonia, Mukinbudin, Nungarin, Mt Marshall, Trayning, Kondinin and Kulin
Dean joins the RFCS WA with a business background spanning 35 years, with both rural bank finance and small business experience. His immediate past work history includes running a property valuation practise and living on a small agricultural property in the lower South West.
He has post graduate qualifications in both agriculture and commerce. Dean is currently in the final stages of completing the Diploma of Financial Counselling (Rural).
Having lived and worked in many areas of the State, Dean has a strong sense for rural communities and enjoys being actively involved in the community. His past involvement includes Chamber of Commerce and Industry membership on an executive level, past board member of Warren Blackwood Small Business Centre and eight years as an elected member of the Shire of Manjimup as a both a councillor and Deputy Shire President.
He is passionate about the rural way of life and continues to work to make a difference to the lives of farmers and small business owners. He is also keen on maintaining open conversation through active listening on the issue of rural mental health.
Dean in based in Merredin and he covers the Eastern Wheatbelt region.
